Philippine Waterfront Hotel Auction

Two Waterfront hotels in Cebu owned by businessman William T. Gatchalian are to be auctioned next month.
National Bank has started foreclosure cases against the hotel chain over unpaid debts worth P740 million.
In a statement, Waterfront Philippines, Inc. said it now had the funds to service the bank loan after securing a new contract with Pagcor.

Colombia Oil and Gas Auction

The Colombian oil licensing agency has auctioned rights to prospect for and produce oil or gas in 22 areas across Colombia.
The ANH, selected ten companies to operate 22 out of the 43 areas auctioned, a statement said.
Colombia is Latin America’s fifth-largest oil exporter.

U.S. Treasury to auction $55 billion debt

The U.S. Treasury will auction $25 billion in 3-year notes, $20 billion in 10-year notes and $10 billion in 29-year, 9-month bonds to refund $54.9 billion in maturing securities and raise around $100 million.

Indian Government Bond Auction Nov 7

The Indian Government will auction government bonds totalling 100 billion rupees on Nov. 7, the Indian finance ministry announced on Monday. It will sell the 8.24 percent 2018 government bond for 60 billion rupees, and another 8.28 percent 2032 bond worth 40 billion rupees

Industry publication PetrolWorld reported that Yukos’ creditors have decided to auction off the company’s 1,135-strong service station network in a single lot, with an opening price of $296 million.

Icelandic bank CDS auctions

Auctions for settling cds on the debt of Icelandic banks Glitnir, Kaupthing and Landsbanki will take place on November 4, the International Swaps and Derivatives Association have announced.
All three banks went into receivership this week as a result of the credit crunch.
