Mosenergosbyt sold at auction for $478 million

An auction for a 50.9% stake in Moscow electric power trader Mosenergosbyt was won Wednesday by unknown firm Korporativno-trustoviye proyekty, which paid 11.3 bln rubles ($478 mln), Russia’s electricity monopoly said.
The controlling stake, which was sold at the starting price, was contested by two bidders, Unified Energy System of Russia (UES) said.

Plastech to Auction Off Main Businesses

Auto-parts supplier Plastech Engineered Products Inc. plans to auction off its main businesses and is negotiating a sale of its interiors business to rival parts maker Johnson Controls Inc.
Plastech is asking the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Detroit to approve bidding rules and set a June 16 auction.

The Brazilian government has auctioned the Jirau hydroelectric power plant, to be built on the Madeira River in the State of Rondônia.
The auction was won by the Sustainable Energy of Brazil consortium, composed of Suez (50.1%), Camargo Corrêa (9.9%), Eletrosul (20%), and Chesf (20%).
