The Federal Subsurface Resources Agency (Rosnedra) has canceled an auction due February 13 for the rights to mine gold at the Most and Vidny sections of the Allakh-Yun placer deposit in Yakutia.

“The agency did not say why the auction was canceled, but there could be a purely technical reason,” Gennady Naumov, head of Yakurnedra, Yakutia’s division of Rosnedra, told Interfax.
