Uralkali Sold 10000 Tons of Potash Fertilizers During The First Auction in 2008

On January 17, 2008 for the first time in this year the products of Uralkali (Berezniki, Perm Territory) were auctioned on the Saint-Petersburg Universal Trade Stock Exchange “Umex”. The results of the auction have proved again there is a stable demand for the products of the company. 10000 tons of Pink MOP were sold for 4180 rubles per ton, which included the entire volume of the Uralkali consignment released for the auction. During the previous auction on December 17, 2007 the Uralkali products were sold for 3830 rubles per ton.
The auction was the tenth auction for Uralkali in 2007-2008. The first auction took place in April, 2007. Since the beginning of the auctions in 2007, Uralkali has sold altogether 64500 tons of potash fertilizers for a total price of more than 241 million rubles on the Moscow Stock Exchange (MSE) and the Universal Trade Stock Exchange “Umex”.
