Ukrtelecom Privatization Open Auction

Published January 14th, 2008

The deputy chairman of the State Property Fund (SPF), Dmytro Parfenenko, suggests privatizing Ukrtelecom via an open auction. With this announcement the SPF canceled its previous plan to privatize UTEL by selling a 37.9% stake on international stock exchanges and 5% on the PFTS stock exchange. This old plan failed because the SPF was only able to sell a 0.07% stake of the company on the PFTS stock exchange.
