South Africa auctions R204 bond at yield of 8.4 percent

South Africa’s Treasury said on Tuesday it had allocated 400 million rand worth of the R204 government bond due in 2018 at a clearing yield of 8.4 percent at its weekly debt market auction.

Axium unit sold at auction

Ensemble Chimes Global, the staffing arm of bankrupt payroll services company Axium, was sold at auction Wednesday for nearly $8.1 million.

Ukraine’s government has decided to sell 67 percent of Ukrtelecom, the latest move in 10 years of attempts to privatize a major stake in the dominant fixed-lined telecoms operator.
