Winning bidders in last week’s zionsdirect.com online auction for FDIC-insured certificates of deposit received above average yields.
Zions Bank reported that during the week of Dec. 19 - 26, winning bidders obtained three-month CDs at a yield of 4.95 percent, compared to the national average annual percentage yield of 3.02 percent; six-month CDs at a yeild of 4.95 percent, compared to an APY of 3.62 percent; and one year CDs at a yeild of 4.85 percent compared to the national average of 3.85 percent.
