UBI drops auction of non-performing loans

UBI Banca abandoned on Friday plans to sell 240 mln eur in non-performing loans (NPLs) in an auction because the bids were too low, daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported citing financial sources.

Sources close to UBI told the daily that the auction could be reopened when market conditions improve.
