Russia Sells Its Energy Wholesale Companies at Auctions

Open auctions on the sale of the ‘third wave’ sales companies were held on November 27. These are Vladimir EWC OJSC, Lipetsk EWC OJSC and Tula EWC OJSC, in which RAO UES had 49% shareholdings. The start prices determined by independent appraisers were set at RUR290 million for 49% in Vladimir EWC, RUR250 million for 49% in Lipetsk EWC and RUR410 million in Tula EWC. The winners paid RUR295 million, RUR501.5 million and RUR490 million, respectively.
