EBay Stock Drops On Earnings News

Published October 19th, 2007

eBay recorded its lowest close in about a month on Thursday after announcing third quarter results. The stock gapped open lower and then continued to slip slightly for the first hour of trading. Shares were flat in the afternoon. The stock closed at $38.10, a decline of $2.50 on the day.
Thursday’s decline more than reversed a rally that took place the day before, resuming a decline that marked the first couple days of the week. The stock recorded its lowest close since mid-September.
